About Carla
Award-Winning Tailor.
At Tailor Love, we have over 20 years of experience modifying formal garments based on our clients’ specifications and needs. We offer a range of services including wedding dress alterations, redesigning, and tailoring of clothes. We listen to our bride’s vision when altering existing wedding gowns and strive to make them look and feel great. Carla Daniela is the owner of Tailor Love the award-winning tailor in San Diego County, and she believes that if you can imagine it, we can make it.
Carla was born in Azores, Portugal and when she was a little girl, she started trading toys for fabrics. Those fabrics along with what would be left over from her Grandma Albertina’s sewing, Carla would transform them into specialty gowns, ball gowns, evening gowns, and two-piece dresses. Carla’s taste for fashion, design and tailoring would grow through the years, and so would her knowledge by graduating in fashion and textile design. Carla loves sharing ideas and working with other seamstresses and tailors in the United States and Portugal.
Carla had the dream of opening her own atelier where she could create and help her client’s visions come to life, and tailor wedding gowns, wedding outfits that are personalized and unique. In 2024 she is now celebrating 14 years of her vision at Tailor Love with happy brides looking their best!
